Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise shared a rare public reunion at the London premiere of Pitt’s upcoming film F1, marking their first red carpet appearance together in 24 years. The actors were last photographed together in 2001 at the America: A Tribute to Heroes concert.

The reunion took place at the European premiere of F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski. A video shared by the official Formula 1 Instagram page captured Cruise, Pitt and Kosinski greeting each other with a warm hug, smiling, and chatting while posing for the cameras. The clip was captioned, “The moment Tom Cruise surprised us on the #F1TheMovie red carpet!”
Photos from the event showed the two actors alongside Kosinski, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. Cruise later posted on X, formerly Twitter, saying, “Great night at the movies with my friends!! You guys crushed it!!” Pitt wore a green suit and shirt, while Cruise appeared in a charcoal suit and grey shirt.
F1, set to release in theatres on June 25, stars Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One driver brought back into the sport to mentor a young talent, played by Damson Idris. The film was shot during real Formula One race weekends, with both actors performing their own driving scenes. Several real-life F1 drivers also make appearances.

The London premiere marked a moment of nostalgia for fans, as Pitt and Cruise have only starred together once before — in the 1994 horror film Interview with the Vampire. The unexpected reunion of the two major stars, both linked through Kosinski’s directorial work on Top Gun: Maverick and F1, seems to have bossted excitement to the summer blockbuster’s debut.
