Minister for Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath has said that the State government is committed for the development of education sector and also bringing industries to the district.
Mr. Bharath on Saturday inaugurated the additional classrooms building constructed with the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) funds in the Osmania College in Kurnool town. Addressing the students on the occasion, Mr. Bharath, an alumnus of the college, expressed his happiness over inaugurating the classrooms. He said the college has several experienced and talented faculty and asked the students to take advantage of the same and excel in their academics.
He said several students of the college have settled abroad while others are excelling in various fields including politics. Mr. Bharath said the construction of the additional classrooms started in 2018 and were completed by the NDA government now. He said the construction of the Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University will also be completed soon. Mr Bharath assured that youth from the district would be provided jobs by brining in new industries. “Students should not just focus on getting a degree. They should acquire skills that would land them in jobs,” he said.
On the occasion, Mr. Bharath said HRD minister Nara Lokesh is striving for the welfare of the student community and the NDA government had taken several steps for the benefit of the students. Mr. Bharath responded positively to the request of the locals for construction of a walking track in the college and asked locals to cooperate with the authorities in expanding roads to decongest traffic.
Kurnool MP Bastipati Nagaraju said they have urged Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to complete the construction of the Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University during the latter’s visit to Kurnool.
