Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram on Tuesday conducted a whirlwind tour of the Yellandu coal belt as part of efforts to bolster coal production with an emphasis on safety and welfare of the workforce.
According to SCCL sources, the CMD conducted a review meeting with the company officials concerned at the General Manager’s office in the coal town of Yellandu in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
He reviewed the measures to make optimum utilization of heavy machinery to increase coal production, achieve the stipulated coal output targets in all the coal mines for boosting productivity.
Earlier in the day, the CMD visited the Koyagudem Opencast Project view point in Tekulapalli mandal and the JK Opencast Project site in Yellandu.
Several senior officials of the SCCL accompanied him.
