Four killed in accident near Vadakara

Four people were killed in a motor accident near Moorad in Vadakara on Sunday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Roja, Jayavalli and Shigin Lal, all residents of Punnol, near Mahe, and Ranji from Azhiyoor. The car they were travelling in rammed into a tempo traveller as they were exiting a petrol pump, causing the accident around 3 p.m. The car was completely crushed and the victims were pulled out after cutting the car open.

Eight passengers in the tempo traveller of Karnataka registration have also sustained injuries and are hospitalised.
